A set of statements to be cut up for children to read and sort into fact and fiction. A second set has been provided with the tricky words written in red for ease of newer readers. Also, a simple Fact or Fiction table to be enlarged to A3 for the statements to be put/stuck onto.

Pet cards and skin texture boards. Children to sort the cards onto the correct board, depending on which skin type they have. Can provoke discussion around why animals have certain skins (temperature regulation, protection, sensory needs). Could also introduce camouflage.

A simple print, cut, match and stick jigsaw on the internal organs of the body. Two versions - one labelled with some of the organs inside the main torso (lungs, heart, liver, stomach and intestines) , and one without labels.

A graphic organiser for children to plan their design for a lunchbox that keeps food cool. Space to make notes or write reasons as well as areas to sketch the inside of the lunchbox and also provide a diagram of how the insulation works. Storage could be how the lunchbox will be stored - thinking about the shape of the lunchbox. Pupils could also consider the eco friendliness of the materials used.

A PowerPoint written for Reception to cover the Mesozoic era - triassic, jurassic and cretaceous periods. Looking at basic evolution of animals and the changes in the landscape.
